This weekend, the first leg of the 2017 Longines Global Championships Tournament was staged in Mexico City. Longines is pleased to be the title partner and official timekeeper for the entire tour and sponsors the focus event-the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Mexico City. The event was won by Martin Fuchs, who rides ‘Chaplin’. Longines Vice President Charles Villoz presented the Swiss rider with an elegant Longines watch in recognition of his outstanding performance.
On Friday afternoon, Andre Agassi, Longines Ambassador of Elegance, attended the Longines World Championship Tour in Mexico City and witnessed the world’s top riders and horses playing at the grassy Campo Marte Equestrian Stadium. Earlier in the day, the American tennis star presided over the opening ceremony of the most exclusive Sina piano store in the Palacio de Hierro shopping center.
The 2017 Longines World Championship Tour in Latin America is the best time to appreciate this event-one of the watches from the Longines Equestrian watch. This collection fully demonstrates the brand’s deep connection with the equestrian world. The line design of this watch reproduces the rectangular buckle shape on the stables of Frances-Montagnes, Switzerland’s only foal breed.
After a stop in Mexico City, the 2017 Longines World Championship Tour will move to Miami Bay next week. The tour will have 15 races in 15 cities and will be held in Shanghai, Madrid, Hamburg or Paris, Rome, and will end in Doha in November.
